Family Ministries

If you are looking for a place to get involved in our church, the Family Ministries work area is the place to start!  This area oversees many of the social activities of the church.  We have a large volunteer staff who participate in many different activities:  setting up and taking down tables and chairs for covered dish dinners, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, supervising the use of the Fellowship Hall and kitchen by other groups in the church, and being available to assist with the needs of the congregation.  These needs have included weddings, adoptions, family celebrations, and funerals.

We also coordinate social outings such as bowling, baseball games, adult nights out and retreat opportunities.  If you are interested, contact the church office, 793-6631 or email lavergnefirstumc@comcast.net.
