Uniting with our Church Family
If you have been worshipping with us and would like:
- to make a deeper commitment to Christ and this church
- to covenant together with God and the members of this church to profess your faith in Christ
- live as a disciple of Jesus Christ
There are two ways to make this commitment:
- Confession of Faith and/or Baptism: If you have never made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, you will need to do so in order to be a member of The United Methodist Church. If you have never been baptized, we will baptize you in one of three ways: sprinkling, poring, or immersion. Those who have been baptized in a Christian denomination may also reaffirm their baptism, their faith in Jesus Christ and their commitment to live as a disciple of Christ.
- Transfer of Membership: The United Methodist Church recognizes the baptism of all other Christian denominations. If you were a baptized member of a Christian denomination, you may unite with this congregation through a simple transfer of your membership.
